Application Guide
A general guide on how to apply for funding through UNIFOR’s application portal.
General Application Guidance
Welcome to UNIFOR’s application portal!
This guide provides an overview of how to apply for funding through our portal. Please note that some foundations may have their own specific guidelines and instructions that you should review before submitting your application. We recommend reading these carefully to ensure that your application meets all requirements.
Call for Applications
All foundations that award funding upon application publish their calls on our website. In addition, UNIFOR shares all calls on Facebook so you can easily stay updated. Calls are usually published one to one and a half months before the application deadline. The calls contain information about the foundation’s purpose, eligibility criteria, available amounts, and the required contents of the application.
Stay tuned to find opportunities that suit you!
UNIFOR’s Application Portal
Through our electronic application portal, we offer a secure and efficient process for both applications and allocations. The application process is entirely digital, making it easy for both applicants and reviewers. To apply, you must register in the portal. Registration and login are done via ID-porten, and all applicants must therefore have a Norwegian national ID number or D number.
In the portal, you as an applicant get a full overview of your applications and reports, and you will receive your application result directly there.
Submitting an Application
To apply for funding from foundations advertised through UNIFOR, all applications must be submitted via our application portal before the application deadline. We recommend reading the call for applications carefully before you start, to make sure you meet all requirements.
In the portal, you can edit your application and upload attachments at any time until the deadline. After the deadline, no changes can be made. We therefore advise submitting your application well in advance.
UNIFOR offers application guidance during office hours throughout the application period. We will do our best to assist you, but we cannot guarantee help close to the deadline. We encourage you to apply early.
Please also note that some foundations have specific requirements for the contents of the application. Be sure to read these carefully to ensure your application meets all criteria.
We look forward to receiving your application and are here to guide you through the process!
Attachments
Attachments to the application must be uploaded directly in the designated fields in the application form. All attachments must be in PDF format. Information about the number and maximum file size can be found in the application form. You may upload attachments right up to the deadline and update your application if needed before the deadline expires.
Application Deadline
The deadline is 23:59 on the stated date. Please note that the deadline will not be extended due to weekends or public holidays.
Processing Time and Application Result
A notification about your application result will be sent to the email address you have registered in your user account. Processing times vary between foundations, but the normal processing time is 3–4 months, starting from the date the deadline has passed.
The foundations reserve the right to reject incomplete applications. Applications that do not align with the foundation’s purpose or violate its bylaws will also be rejected. As a general rule, individual feedback is not given in the event of a rejection.
