CALL FROM THE THRONE HOLST NUTRITION RESEARCH FOUNDATION FOR FUNDING IN 2021

Permanent academic staffs (including university lectorates) at the Department of Nutrition, University of Oslo are invited to apply for funds to research projects within the field of nutrition for 2021. Academic staff in professor II positions can also apply. Academic staff who retire during 2021 are also invited to apply. Academic staff who have retired before 2021 are not entitled to apply.

For all applications it is required that the research activities shall be performed at the Department of Nutrition, and will contribute to further development of the scientific milieu at the Department. Only collaborative projects with other research groups at the department are eligible for funding. The nature of the collaboration must be clearly indicated in the application form. Only projects with clear nutrition relevance will, however, be funded. Scientific quality is the major criteria for evaluation.

THE APPLICATION SHOULD INCLUDE

              1. The completed electronic application form (click "Apply here"| "Søk her")
              2. A project description (maximum10 pages including references).
                   Upload the project description as a PDF-file to the electronic application form in the specified field.
              3. CV and list of publications the last 5 years (2015-2020)
                  Upload the documents as PDF-files to the electronic application form in the specified fields.

Funding from Throne Holst Nutrition Research Foundation must be used within 2 years. Otherwise, the funded resources will be returned to the Throne Holst Nutrition Research Foundation.

Det kan søkes om midler til kommende arrangementer. Allerede påløpte utgifter dekkes ikke.

Det skal i denne utlysningsrunden deles ut i størrelsesorden kr 300 000.

HVEM KAN SØKE?

 Du må

- være tilknyttet Det juridiske fakultet ved Universitetet i Oslo

- drive med juridisk undervisning eller rettsvitenskapelig forskning. Administrativt ansatte kan også søke.

 HVA MÅ SØKNADEN INNEHOLDE?

Søknaden skal inneholde

          (1) Ferdig utfylt søknadsskjema

Trykk «Søk her» for å åpne fondets elektroniske søknadsskjema.

          (2) Søknadstekst.

Dokumentet lastes opp i søknadsskjemaet på angitte sted i PDF-format. Dokumentet skal bestå av maks 3 sider ved bruk av skriftstørrelse 12 og enkel linjeavstand.

Dokumentet må inneholde følgende:

- redegjørelse for prosjektets formål, evt. problemstilling, og forventet resultat.

- dersom søknaden gjelder seminar/konferanse, ber vi om antall deltagere, deltagerliste, samt informasjon om det er noen utenlandske deltagere

- dersom aktuelt, informasjon om planlagte seminar/konferanse er åpen for alle ved fakultetet

- informasjon om det søkes om annen ekstern finansiering, eventuelt fra hvilken kilde og hvilket beløp.

          (3) Budsjett

Dokumentet lastes opp i søknadsskjemaet på angitte sted i PDF-format.

Budsjettet må være detaljert, gjenspeile prosjektets mål og aktiviteter, og spesifisere eventuelle andre finansieringskilder.

          (4) Andre vedlegg

Det er mulig å laste opp andre vedlegg i søknadsskjemaet. Last kun opp vedlegg hvis relevant for din søknad. Vi ønsker bl.a. følgende dokumentasjon, hvis aktuelt:

- deltagerlister

- program

- lenke til arrangementer

- informasjon om hvor tildelte midler skal konteres må legges ved søknaden.

 

Søknadsfristen er 15. november

 

NB! Sjekk at din søknad er komplett og inneholder all nødvendig informasjon. Dersom noe mangler kan du risikere at søknaden blir avslått.

Det er viktig at alle søkere opplyser om hvor pengene skal konteres i søknaden. Manglende kontostreng vil forsinke utbetalingsprosessen for alle søkerne.

 

Hvis du ikke benytter alle midlene i henhold til søknaden og ikke kan dokumentere alle utgiftene, skal "overskuddet" tilbakebetales.

Hvis de tildelte midlene ikke brukes i henhold til formålet, eller hvis du ikke leverer en tilstrekkelig økonomisk rapport, skal midlene tilbakebetales til stiftelsen.

The Minor Foundation for Major Challenges – larger grants (step 1)

In this call for applications the foundation is looking for projects above EUR 10,000 – typically in the range of €20,000 to €200,000, although larger projects may be considered. The foundation will only consider applications that clearly fall under its strategy. Please consult the MFMC strategy carefully before considering submitting an application.

The application process for larger grants is in two steps. In the first step, you are welcome to submit a short pitch on behalf of your organization. After thorough evaluation by the foundation’s board, applicants may be invited to the second step, in which a full application will be submitted.

International applicant without a Norwegian ID?

In order to access UNIFOR's application portal without a Norwegian ID, you have to request a user profile by contacting the secretary of the MFMC board. A user profile will be set up if the project is found to clearly fall within the MFMC strategy and thus merits the attention of the board. When contacting the secretary of the MFMC board, prospective applicants must  provide the following information:

- Name of organization

- Full name of organization’s contact person

- Organization's full postal address

- Contact person’s phone number

- Contact person’s e-mail address

- A short description of the planned application, for example the pitch or short description to be submitted in the application form, that clearly explains how the project falls within the strategic aims of MFMC

- Documentation that you represent an organization, in the form of an officially certified proof of registration (f. ex. tax registration) of your organization must be included as an attachment to your inquiry

The secretary to the MFMC board, Mr. Tore Brænd, may be contacted at tore.braend@minor-foundation.no. Please note that processing a request for a user profile may take several days, and that contact therefore should be made well in advance of the deadline for the relevant call.

 

Technical assistance

After your request for a user profile in the UNIFOR portal is granted, the UNIFOR staff will set up your profile and may assist with the rest of the application process as needed.

UNIFOR is a Norwegian organization and our working hours are 08:00-16:00 CEST. If you contact us on the day of the current deadline, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to assist you in time to submit your application. In such case you have to wait until the next call for applications is announced.

Please note that most of UNIFOR’s website is in Norwegian language. It is possible to use the Google translate button on the bottom left of the page. In this call for applications it is possible to apply for smaller grants of up to EUR 10,000, provided that the application falls within the strategic aims of MFMC. Please consult the MFMC strategy carefully before considering submitting an application.
