Norges Rederiforbunds fond ved NTNU STI

The Fund supports research and education at the Department of Marine Technology, NTNU. Only employees and students at the Department of Marine Technology can receive support from this fund.
Grants are given in the following categories
A. Fully or partly financing of scientific equipment.
B. International publishing. The following categories are supported:
- Conference fee, travel and hotel related to international conferences where the applicant shall present an article.
- Publishing costs related to international publishing such as side fees or publishing costs to open access journals. These journals must be at level 1 or 2 in the list of journals from Norwegian Center for Research Data.
Costs related to book publishing can also be supported if the publisher is listed at level 1 or 2 of Norwegian Center for Research Data.
Cost related to a study stay or other expenses related to the work with the publication will not be supported.
C. Seminars and conferences in Norway that supports the national and international network in the marine technology area.
D. Initiative to strengthen recruitment of competent students to the marine technology study at NTNU.
E. Professional and social student initiatives, for instance travel grant to the top student of his/her class (in Marine Technology).

Scholarships in category B are typically awarded in amounts ranging from NOK 5,000 to 20,000. Exceptions may be made for larger amounts.

• “Saved” = Not submitted
• “Submitted” = The application has been received

In case of allocation
Allocated funds must be used in accordance with the submitted application. Reporting is required within one year of allocation and must include:
• A brief project description and account of how the funds have been used
• Financial documentation (e.g., general ledger report/SAP printout)
Please note:
Funds not used in accordance with the purpose, or insufficiently documented, must be repaid
Any surplus funds must also be returned to the foundation
