Rakel og Otto-Kristian Bruuns legat har som formål er å fremme norsk medisinsk basal forskning innen biokjemi, fysiologi og patologi. Prosjekter med relasjon til kreft prioriteres.
Legatet vil i 2021 dele ut tre stipendier på kr. 200.000 til nyskapende prosjekter.
Støtten gis i form av bidrag til
– driftsmidler
– mindre, vitenskapelig utstyr.
Hvem kan søke?
Midler tildeles meriterte forskere som er leger. Individuelle søknader mottas, men søknader på vegne av institutter eller forskergrupper vil bli foretrukket.
Hva må søknaden inneholde?
Søknaden må leveres elektronisk via UNIFORs søknadssystem (www.unifor.no). Følgende vedlegg lastes opp i søknadsskjemaet på angitt plassering:
1) prosjektbeskrivelse, PDF-format, maks to sider
2) CV, PDF-format, maks én side
3) publikasjonsliste med inntil ti av de viktigste publikasjonene for de siste fem årene med webadresse for enkel tilgang, PDF-format.
4) Ved tidligere innvilget støtte fra legatet, legg ved en egen liste over publikasjoner hvor legatet er nevnt som bidragsyter.
Søknader med manglende vedlegg vil bli gitt redusert prioritet.
Søknadsfristen er 15. juni 2021.

Rakel and Otto-Kristian Bruuns Fund’s purpose is to support medical basic research within biochemistry, physiology, and pathology. Cancer-related projects are prioritized.
The fund aims to distribute three grants of NOK 200.000 to innovative projects in 2021.
Grants are awarded to cover
– running expenses
– purchases of smaller scientific equipment
Who can apply?
Grants are awarded to qualified scientists who are licensed Medical Doctors. Individuals may apply, but applications on behalf of institutes or research groups are preferred.
Application requirements
The application must be submitted electronically via UNIFOR’s application system (www.unifor.no). The following attachments must be uploaded in the application form:
1) project proposal, PDF format, maximum two pages
2) CV, PDF format, maximum one page
3) publication list summarizing up to the ten most important publications from the last five years, include web addresses for easy access, PDF format
4) If the applicant has previously received support from the fund, please attach a separate list of publications that acknowledge the grants.
Applications missing required attachments will be given reduced priority.
The application deadline is June 15, 2021.
