The Throne Holst Nutrition Research Foundation has opened its call for funding applications for 2025. The foundation invites permanent academic staff, including university lectorates at the Department of Nutrition, University of Oslo, to submit proposals for nutrition-related research projects. Academic staff in professor II positions, as well as those retiring during 2025, are also eligible to apply. However, academic staff who retired before 2025 are not entitled to submit applications.

To qualify for funding, the proposed research activities must be conducted at the Department of Nutrition and contribute to the scientific development of the department. Collaborative projects involving other research groups within the department are mandatory, and the nature of this collaboration must be clearly outlined in the application. Funding will only be granted to projects with clear relevance to nutrition, with scientific quality being the principal evaluation criterion.

Funding for individual projects will range from NOK 50,000 to NOK 400,000. Applications must be submitted electronically by November 1, 2024.

Funds allocated by the Throne Holst Nutrition Research Foundation must be utilized within two years of receipt. Any unused funds will be returned to the foundation.
