As a Norwegian foundation, MFMC is committed to supporting communication projects that bring about urgent, large-scale transformation. Its focus lies in changing policies and practices within public or private institutions. The Foundation strongly believes in the power of climate communication, and priorities for the 2019-2023 period include encouraging innovation, amplifying diverse voices and narratives, strengthening social and political movements, and supporting European proposals.

MFMC offers two categories of grants: large and small grants.

For large grants, the Foundation is particularly interested in projects ranging from EUR 20,000 to EUR 200,000, although larger projects may be considered. The application process consists of two steps, starting with a short pitch submission. If your pitch catches the attention of our board, you may be invited to submit a full application.

For small grants, you can apply for amounts up to EUR 10,000 through a simplified one-stage process. The MFMC board will assess applications based on our aims and strategy.
