Gleditschprisen 2026 – medisinsk og biologisk forskning i laboratorium

The Throne Holst Nutrition Research Foundation invites applications for research funding for 2027. Eligible academic staff at the Department of Nutrition, University of Oslo, may apply for grants ranging from NOK 100,000 to NOK 500,000 per project. The application deadline is 1 November 2026.

The funding is intended for research projects in the field of nutrition. All research activities must be carried out at the Department of Nutrition and contribute to the further development of the scientific environment at the department.

 

Who can apply?

Permanent academic staff at the Department of Nutrition, including university lecturers, are eligible to apply. Academic staff in Professor II positions may also apply.

Academic staff who will retire during 2027 are eligible to apply. Academic staff who retired before 2026 are not eligible.

 

Collaboration and scientific quality

Funding is available only for projects involving collaboration with other research groups at the Department of Nutrition. The nature of the collaboration must be clearly described in the application.

Only projects with clear relevance to nutrition will be considered for funding. Scientific quality is the primary criterion in the assessment of applications.

 

Funding

Applicants may apply for NOK 100,000–500,000 per project.

Funding awarded by the Throne Holst Nutrition Research Foundation must be used within two years. Any funds not used within this period will be returned to the foundation.

 

Application requirements

Applications must be submitted using the electronic application form and include:

  • a project description of no more than seven pages, excluding references
  • a clear description of how funding received from the Throne Holst Nutrition Research Foundation in the previous year was used
  • for projects that received funding in the previous year, a clear description of the project’s current status and scientific progress
  • a CV and a list of publications from the last five years (2022–2026)

The project description, CV and publication list must be uploaded as PDF files in the specified fields in the electronic application form.

Applications must be submitted electronically through UNIFOR’s application portal. Applications submitted by email or post will not be accepted.

Applicants are encouraged to submit their applications well in advance of the deadline.
