This is a joint funding scheme for students going on exchange through the University of Oslo’s (UiO) exchange programmes. The grant is intended to cover costs related to travel and accommodation.
In 2015, UNIFOR and UiO entered into a framework agreement covering the foundations that support UiO students. The funds from these foundations are allocated to students participating in UiO’s exchange programmes.
You can find more information on UiO’s website by clicking here.
Priority Areas
The priority areas for the next two academic years (2025/2026) are:
1. Travel grants for UiO students going on regular exchange, internships, or fieldwork to Panorama countries USA and Canada.
2. Travel grants for UiO students going on regular exchange to Circle U partner universities.
3. Travel grants for UiO’s exchange ambassadors going on exchange.
Grant Amount
The grant amount ranges from NOK 5,000 to 20,000, depending on the number of qualified students and the total available funding from the foundations.

Eligible students are contacted directly by UiO. It is not possible to apply for support directly from the foundations in this scheme. The grant is paid to the bank account registered by the student with UiO’s Department of Academic Support.
